My Summer Reading List & Review

I don’t know what it is about summer, but it makes me want to read all the books. I don’t know whether its the fact that I have more time to myself in the summer or that summer just makes me want to chill out, but I love reading during this time. As I’m going away in less than a month now (WHATTT?!) I’ve added a few books to my collection ready to read, whilst laying on the beach in the sun (I’m so damn excited!).

The first book is Wilde Like Me, by the gorgeous Louise Pentland (aka SprinkleOfGlitter).

From reading the blurb the story seems to go along the lines of single mum Robin Wilde wanting some light back into her life, and the book follows her journey of finding a man.

I’m super excited to give this a read, and to see what Louise’s writing is like.

Next up is The Curated Closet by Anushka Rees. I had never heard of this before, but I came across it when browsing through Amazon and it had really good reviews. I’ve wanted to change up my style for a long time now and this book is said to help you figure out your own, unique style and gives you tips and tricks on how to achieve this, without spending too much and over-hauling. I’m super excited for this one as it sounds like the perfect book for me!

The third book is Get Your Shit Together by Sarah Knight. I’ve read books by Sarah before and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them, so I’m sure this one will be equally as good.

The last book I’ll be reading is Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso. I’ve recently watched the Netflix series of this so I have an idea of what the book is going to be like, and I’m so excited to read it! The story follows Sophia through her journey of starting up her own online business, and how she went from clueless to success. Such a good series for us blogging girls and guys, and I’m sure the book will be just as great.

The one book I’ve already read this summer is Capture Your Style by Aimee Song. I absolutely loved this book. The book itself is all about having an aesthetically pleasing Instagram feed. It contains tips on how to compose your photos, different apps to use for your photography, how to edit your photos, how to gain a following, how to make money and create a business via Instagram and so many more tips. The Imagery in the book is all taken from Aimee’s Instagram feed ‘SongofStyle’, which I definitely recommend following. This was such an interesting read and its defiantly helped me improve my Instagram and it’s made my editing process so much more fun and interesting.

What books are you reading this summer?! Let me know in the comments
